How access, roles and branches work
Every person has their own account and a role. The role decides what they can see and do, and the account can be limited to one branch, several branches, or all locations.
The idea
- Each person signs in with their own email and password.
- Each account has one role. A role is a named list of things its holders may do (permissions).
- An account can be limited to one branch, several branches, or all locations.
- If a person lacks a permission, the menu item is hidden, and the system refuses the action even if they type the page address.
- Administrators can switch whole areas on or off in Settings → Modules.
The roles that come with the system
| Role | In plain words |
|---|---|
| Super Admin | Everything, including creating Admin accounts. Cannot be edited or deleted. |
| Admin | Everything except deleting roles and deleting users. Sees all branches. |
| Manager | Day-to-day running: products, purchases and returns, sales and returns, quotations, customers and suppliers with payments, stock adjustments and transfers, expenses, most reports, shifts. Cannot open Settings, manage users or roles, or delete sales. |
| Cashier | The till: POS, viewing and creating sales, viewing products, viewing and adding customers, recording expenses, and opening and closing their own shift. |
