Set cost, selling and wholesale prices and product discounts
Each product has a purchase price (your cost), a selling price, an optional wholesale price and an optional regular discount. A new purchase order updates the purchase price to the latest cost.
The prices on a product
| Price | Used for |
|---|---|
| Purchase Price | Your cost. It is replaced by the cost of your latest purchase. |
| Selling Price | The normal price at the POS. |
| Wholesale Price | The price when you sell to wholesale customers (see price groups). |
| Discount Type and Discount Amount | A regular discount, Fixed (Rs.) or Percentage (%), applied to this product at the POS. A live bulk discount rule overrides it. |
Change a price
- Open Products → List Products and find the product.
- Use the row action Edit Product.
- Change the Selling Price, Wholesale Price or discount.
- Select Save Product.
