Find products at the POS: scan, search and filter

Type or scan in the search box at the top of the POS. An exact barcode adds the item straight away; a name shows matching tiles. You can also scan with the camera and filter by category or brand.

Who can do this: Anyone with POS access.

Steps

  1. Click in the Search products or scan barcode… box (shortcut F1 jumps there).
  2. Scan a barcode with your scanner. An item with that exact barcode is added to the cart.
  3. Or type part of a name and press Enter, or select a tile from the results.
  4. To scan with a phone or tablet camera, select the camera button beside the search box and allow the browser to use the camera.
  5. Use the All Categories and All Brands lists to narrow the tiles.

Common problems

Nothing happens when I scanClick in the search box first so the scanner types into it, and check the product has that barcode.
A product is missing from the tilesIt may be inactive, marked Not for Selling, or not stocked at this branch.
